Who Should Attend?
All new, transfer, EAP, or summer session students are required to attend a Check-in Meeting before classes begin to notify the university of your arrival on campus. If you have been withdrawn for one semester or more, you must also check-in to report your return to campus.
- Why? Check-In meetings take care of your final immigration document review. Bring your passport and I-20 (F-1) or DS-2019 (J-1) with you.
- What? You will also get an introduction to the campus and information
about important business to take care of before classes begin.
- Where? All Check-In meetings will be held in International House. Upon arrival, check at the main entry for the specific meeting room, as they are subject to change without prior notice.
- When? Wednesday, January 13, 2010.
- How long? Meetings last approximately one hour.
- How many? You only need to attend one of Check-In meetings offered at the beginning of your program.
What To Do If You Can't Attend
If for some reason you are not able to attend a check-in meeting prior to your first day of class, speak to an Adviser in Berkeley International Office to make alternate arrangements. You can see an adviser during our Drop-in Advising times available Monday through Friday from 10-12 and 1:30-4.
