Fall Document Check

Who Should Attend Document Check?

All New, Transfer, EAP, Summer Session and Returning (withdrawn for one semester or more) international students are required to have their visa and arrival documents checked before classes begin.  Please bring the following:

  1. Passport  2. I-94 Form (white card in passport) or passport entry stamp 

3. Form I-20 (F-1) or DS-2019 (J-1)   4. Arrival Confirmation [doc]

  • Why? UC Berkeley is required by federal law to review your entry documents.
  • Where? All document check events will be held in International House.  Room locations will be posted at main entrance.
  • How long? Document checks take approximately 15 minutes.
  • How many? You only need to come to one document check event.
  • How much?  No fees and no pre-registration required.
