Getting Your Bearings (GYB) Events

Berkeley’s welcome program, ‘Getting Your Bearings’ consists of three weeks of orientation activities for all new students. Week 1: August 25-29
Tuesday, August 26 | 1-2pm | @International House

Join us for this informal get-together to chat with your Berkeley International Office advisors and other international students.
Wednesday, August 27 | 1-2pm | @International House
Cal students will discuss the benefits of sleep, consequences of not getting enough sleep, and sleep disorders. Participants will think about their sleep patterns, learn about how to maximize their sleep efficiency as well as the many health benefits of sleep.

Working in the U.S.: What to Know About Your Status

This workshop will review the work authorization options available for employment in the U.S. during and after your program of study.

Learn how to get started on a research paper, identify appropriate research sources, search OskiCat- the library catalog, and use citation management software.
