What is fsaATLAS eScholar?
fsaATLAS eScholar is a web-based system shared between Berkeley International Office and the host department used to invite J-1 international visiting scholars to UC Berkeley. See the fsaATLAS eScholar Process Flowchart [pdf] for details.
Timing Your Request
A complete fsaATLAS eScholar record must be submitted to Berkeley International Office at least 2-4 months before the scholar's start date, based on the processing times of the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. embassies. See Inviting J-1 Exchange Visitors [pdf] for more information.
Technical/System Requirements
fsaATLAS eScholar is compatible with Internet Explorer version 8.x and above, and Mozilla Firefox version 3.5.x and above. Use of other browser software (Safari, Google Chrome, etc.) may cause errors. You will also need access to a scanner to submit the required documents.
Please note: After twenty minutes of inactivity, you will be automatically logged out of fsaATLAS eScholar and you will lose any unsaved data.
