Policy

The University of California is committed to protecting the privacy and accuracy of your personally identifiable information to the extent possible, subject to provisions of state and federal law. Information collected and used

Categories of personally identifiable information collected via this website may include: name, address, e-mail address, telephone number(s), and/or comments directed to Berkeley International Office administration. The personally identifiable information requested by us is intended for communication purposes.

Web server typically collects, at least temporarily, the following information: Internet Protocol (IP) address of computer being used; web pages requested; referring web page; browser used; date and time. UC Berkeley may collect statistics identifying particular IP addresses from which our websites are accessed.

Use of collected information

Berkeley International Office may use browser-IP-address information and anonymous-browser history to report information about site accesses and for profiling purposes. This information is generally used to improve Web presentation and utilization. The campus also may use IP address information for troubleshooting purposes.

Google Analytics

Berkeley International Office uses Google Analytics to capture and analyze web statistics. Google Analytics is a cookie-based analytics program that uses cookies to track website activity. Google Analytics typically collects, at least temporarily, the following information: Network Location; Hostname; web pages requested; referring web page; browser used; screen resolution; date and time. No personal information is stored within cookies. Cookies can be disabled within a browser's preference or option menu.

Berkeley International Office will not disclose or share, without your consent, personally identifiable information, except for certain explicit circumstances in which disclosure may be required by law.
