Our Difference is Our Strength Workshop Series

Our Difference is Our Strength: Building a Toolkit for Navigating Across Relationships During Times of Conflict

Effectively navigating contentious interactions and tense relationships is a skill learned over time. This workshop series aims to equip students, faculty, and staff with the tools and skills needed to increase our cultural humility, to navigate discussions in times of conflict, and  to tend to our own and each other's well-being when impacted by issues of bias and discrimination. We will engage with diverse perspectives and experience models for navigating differences in the spirit of healing, integrity, and care. Each workshop will also offer you the time and space to reflect on how the lessons and experiences shared translate to your personal, professional, and academic context. This workshop series is a collaborative effort of the Berkeley International Office, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Funding for this project is provided by the University of California in response to a call for proposals from the campus community to address bias and bigotry on campus. The views and perspectives shared herein do not necessarily reflect the views of the university.
