In-Person Drop-In Advising

Save time -- check the BIO website first!
BIO advising is intended for any necessary further questions and discussions with a BIO advisor only after you have already researched the topic on the BIO website. The answers to most questions international students have can be found on the BIO website, including information about program extensions, travel, applying for a visa/visa renewal, CPT (internships), OPT, and STEM OPT.

In-Person Drop-In Student Advising hours (PDT)

In-person drop-in advising is available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1 - 4 p.m. (Pacific Time)*, with no appointment needed.

*Please note that during our busy season (April - June), we may close for new advising sign-ins early to enable our advisors to work through the advising queue before the end of our advising hours. If advising sign-ins close early, we will note this in the Advising Queue sheet, in the large red box at the top.

There is no student advising on Wednesdays.

***SPECIAL WINTER BREAK SCHEDULE***

Virtual advising will be offered instead of in-person advising on the following days:

  • Thursday, December 19 - Friday, December 20, 2024
  • Monday, January 6 - Friday, January 10, 2025

There is no student advising during the closure period of Monday, December 23, 2024 to Friday, January 3, 2025.
